For the past several years, I have been involved with the University of San Diego Center for Peace and Commerce, which has been a great experience. Through that connection, they asked me to be a judge for the USD Social Innovation Challenge.
There were some great ideas presented. We judged the top 16 ideas (there were 115 submitted). It is great to see the way these young entrepreneurs are leveraging market forces to be a force for good, including improving food supplies, purifying water, and helping underprivileged children create green projects in their neighborhoods.
