Having experienced the value of a good mentor, I am a strong believer in the power of mentoring. That is why I am a supporter of Big Brothers Big Sisters. By giving mentors to at-risk youth, they improve the lives of the youth as well as make the community a better place. And, they measure their results (see some of the stats here).
That is why we were very happy to have a chance to help them recently with some pro bono work. They needed to migrate their emails because they had become too large for their current host. During an email migration, it is important to make sure that everything is timed properly, so that no emails are lost and users do not experience any downtime.
